Rex Launches New Website

The Rex Organization has launched a redesigned website. The new site contains information and images describing the history of Rex and Carnival, Rex traditions, and the Rex Parade and Ball. Content will be added regularly to each of these areas. One segment to be added soon will allow the public to visit the Rex Den and see how floats are designed and built.

The Website also functions as a portal for "Rex in the Classroom," the education program of the Rex Organization. Begun in 2003, "Rex in the Classroom" provides web-based learning guides and materials to allow teachers and students to explore the theme and float titles of the Rex Parade in advance of Mardi Gras. Lower, middle, and upper school students in public, private, and parochial schools have participated, and student work is posted on the "Rex in the Classroom" area of the website.
