The Rex Procession travels the traditional Uptown parade route, beginning at the intersection of Napoleon and South Claiborne Avenues at 10am on Mardi Gras morning. Some years weather or other factors require the parade to omit the "loop" on Canal Street and turn right instead on reaching the intersection of Canal and St. Charles.
